Third week: October 15st-20th

During the third week, first of all, we have actualizate our “Plangintza”. We use this tool
to organize all that we do in class all that we have to do during the week and to planificate
new ideas or concepts. Is very useful if the hole group take part in it. On the contrary, has
no sense to do it.

In Catia, we continue learning new things such as how to use the body tool or the shell tool.
We also have learned how to parametizer some measures. This is used to modificate some
measurements after finishing the piece .

We have create individually, ours bend studies and we have put all the ideas on common. The purpose
of this tool, is to create a sketch where you have to draw all the steps to the create the piece. To do
this, is very important to calculate some things such as the distance between the first piece and the
next one and we have calculate some measures. After looking the advantages and disadvantages of each design, we have choose one. We have chose the first one:

We have started to learn what an AMFE is. This tool is very used to do a study about something. In
our case, we have done a study about a piece of our die. The piece that we have chosen is the higher
press or “pisador”. In that “AMFE” we have write some common failures that the piece could have.
In addition, we have also written, the causes of the failure, if there is a common error and if there
is very serious.

With Iranzu, we have started to do a company report where we have to explain many things about
our company. For example, who does our company create, why we have choose that logo, name
and slogan, what is a “DAFO” or SWOT analysis and finally the study market. We have thought
to do in different lenguages because we think it would be more attractive.

Second week october 8st-12th

Hello to everybody, during this second week we have continued our formation in the world of dies. We have had some alone practises to test the group individually and to see how advanced we are. One of the practises that we have done, have been on Catia software and the other one of bending and cutting calculations.

During this week, we have learn how to use some essential options in Catia such as the “wall” or how to take measurements . From other side, we have corrected some homework that Julen send us the last friday and we have continue doing and practising Catia.

With gaizka, we have corrected the exam that we did the last friday about calculations and we have start to see the “band study”. We have make  individually our own band study and then we have see between the group all members propositions. After the “pooling”, we have decided with is the best option and all of us have learned something about the rest of the propositions. This is one of the advantages of working in groups.

With Nagore, we have see new options of Cosmos measurement program such as how to line up a piece or the different type of “palpadores” that we can use to size pieces.

With Iranzu after creating our own logo and slogan witch you can find at the top of this blog, we have seen what is a DAFO. This letters in english means “SWOT”. This is an analysis and a strategic planning technique that is used to help a person or organization to identify its  strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to business competition. Apart from that we also have seen the market study. To do this market study, we have investigate many other companies and finally we have thought that apart from doing and designing industrial dies, our company is going to do a study about that die during a year to see how does it works and in the case of having any problem, the company will repair or change it without any extra cost.
